The story behind Glossynet.

Glossynet brings software engineering and technical consulting together for organisations across the UK, Europe and East Africa. Our work combines client delivery with the development and operation of our own products.

A new chapter for Glossynet.

Founded in 2016, Glossynet is returning to active operations with a renewed focus on software engineering and consulting. We help organisations address technical challenges through project delivery and engineers who work within their teams.

We connect technical advice with practical delivery so that the thinking behind a decision carries through into the software. Close collaboration and agreed responsibilities form the basis of each engagement.

This chapter also includes Sawia, the personal wealth planning product we build and operate. Product ownership keeps us involved in the ongoing decisions that follow development as well as the engineering itself.

The principles behind our work.

We value working relationships where decisions are understood and questions can be raised openly. These principles guide how we approach both the engineering and the engagement.

Open communication

Direct contact with the people responsible for the work keeps you involved in decisions. We explain our reasoning and share progress so you can see how the work is developing.

Considered technical choices

We assess an approach against the cost of development and the effort needed to maintain it over time. Technology choices follow the requirements rather than familiarity or fashion.

Defined responsibilities

We agree the scope of our involvement so that everyone understands their responsibilities. Risks and changing priorities are discussed early enough to make informed adjustments.

A UK focus with a wider outlook.

The UK is our primary market within a wider focus on Europe and selected established organisations in East Africa. We agree working arrangements that support collaboration across locations.

United Kingdom

Our primary market builds on substantial hands-on experience working with UK organisations.

Europe

We support European organisations through remote consulting and software delivery with engineers working alongside their teams.

East Africa

We take on selected projects with established businesses alongside developing and operating our own products.
